Catch Amtrak Southwest Chief in Garden City and go to Raton, N.M. Transfer to Amtrak thru bus to Denver. check out the Amtrak schedules to see how to do it.
Amtrak is great. One catch, the train station has to have baggage handling, assuming your bike is going with you. Raton has it if memory serves me right. No idea about Garden City.
